One of the better of my day's plein-aires. Horton's Farm is a farm & flowers picnic spot near Loomis. . It is know for it's irises, but they are out of season. A perfect place to paint.

- I usually paint in a series and start the day with a quick warm up like a heart or being "Alone". I have been using acrylics, but have been trying oils lately. The drawings are done in open studio and are also quickly done. I prefer a gestural work to a detailed one.
