Jim Ferry: Sacramento, CA, United States; I usually paint in a series and start the day with a quick warm up like a heart or being "Alone". I have been using acrylics, but have been trying oils lately. The drawings are done in open studio and are also quickly done. I prefer a gestural work to a detailed one.
