"Play Day at Cordova K-6" Today Susan, Findlay, and myself drew 100's of quick portraits. After not too many minutes the mind and hand go on automatic and the kids have something between a realistic and a caracture image. There is great pressure to draw quickly to shorten the lines. Rewarding but tiring day.

"Grate Man" Acrylic on paper 5.5"w x 7.5"h - $70 My "Alone " series can be seen as a bit of a downer. I am getting a reaction from viewers. poor pun today.
I usually paint in a series and start the day with a quick warm up like a heart or being "Alone". I have been using acrylics, but have been trying oils lately. The drawings are done in open studio and are also quickly done. I prefer a gestural work to a detailed one.
